Common questions

Quick answers about buying, hiring and running an LED sign.

What sizes do your signs come in?

Anything from small countertop signs to large displays for stadiums and arenas. We help you choose the right size, shape and pixel pitch for your site.

Do you only work in Perth?

No. We build every sign at our workshop in Welshpool, Perth, and sell and install signs and scoreboards right across Australia. Our hire signs can be sent anywhere in Australia too.

Can a sign change its message during the day?

Yes. Schedule different content for breakfast, lunch and dinner, or update it in real time from your phone, tablet or laptop.

Are LED signs expensive to run?

No. Our energy-efficient displays use very little power, and you never pay to reprint a sign again.

Will an outdoor sign handle the weather?

Yes. Our outdoor signs are built for the Australian climate: sun, wind, rain and even frost in higher areas.

Do I need council approval?

Sometimes. Signage policies vary from shire to shire, so our qualified town planning service helps with your application at no extra cost.

How long can I hire a sign for?

Anything from half a day to months or years. We can often deliver on the same day, and smaller signs can be moved by hand.

Can a double-sided sign show a different message on each side?

Yes. Each side can show its own content and be scheduled separately, for example to suit traffic at different times of day.

Can you repair a sign from another supplier?

We generally only work on the signs we build ourselves, as those are the ones we can stand behind. If a sign from another supplier is giving you trouble, we would love to help you replace it. Send us a photo and its size, and we will suggest a new sign that suits your space and budget. You can read all our policies on our About page.

Can a scoreboard show video and ads as well as scores?

Yes. All our displays have full video capability, and with Olympyx a scoreboard can play sponsor ads, video and live scores, and sound the siren.
