It mostly comes down to where you play and where the board can live between games.
Portable scoreboards
A portable scoreboard rolls out for game day and packs away after. It suits clubs that share a ground, play on school ovals or have nowhere to fix a board. Dianella Morley AFC uses a full colour scoreboard on wheels that runs the same software as our built-in screens.
Trailer scoreboards
A board on its own trailer suits clubs and associations that move between venues during a season.
Built-in scoreboards
A built-in scoreboard stays up all season and can be much bigger. Calingiri Sporting Club’s 4 × 5 m full colour screen shows live scores, sponsors, video and movie nights. A fixed board may need council approval, and we help with that at no extra cost. Read do you need council approval for an LED sign.
Power and Wi-Fi
Switch the board on at the wall and it boots straight to the scoreboard. It runs its own Wi-Fi network, so you don’t need internet at the ground; your phone or tablet joins the board’s network.
The software is the same either way
Run a simple board from your phone with Basic, the iCatcher Scoreboard app, or run the whole game from a tablet with Advanced, Olympyx, including the automatic siren and sponsor videos.
Need one for a day?
We hire out portable scoreboards for carnivals and tournaments. Read should you buy or hire an LED scoreboard.
Ask us
We set up each board for its sport: AFL and footy, cricket, basketball and netball, or soccer, rugby and hockey. Tell us your sport, your ground and roughly where the board will go. Applying for a grant? Read scoreboard grants for sports clubs first, because programs treat portable and fixed boards differently.
