Our LED sign hire covers Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the rest of Queensland, and we build LED signs to buy for Brisbane businesses and schools. All of them come out of our workshop in Welshpool, Perth, where each sign is designed, built and tested. Hire signs are sent to you, and the signs you buy are installed by our own team.
Anything with an end date is a good fit for LED sign hire in Brisbane: a launch, an expo weekend, a school fete, or roadworks that run for months. A hire can be as short as half a day or run for months or years, and we deliver and collect anywhere in Australia.
What you can hire
Solar trailer signs: a full LED sign on its own trailer, powered by the sun, so it needs no mains power on site.
VMS boards: roadworks crews can use a solar trailer as a variable message sign for speed, detour and warning messages. For VMS hire on the Gold Coast or in Brisbane, these are the signs to ask for.
Double-sided signs: two faces, for traffic coming both ways.
Full colour trailer signs: for a grand opening or an event where pictures and video say more than words.
Portable signs: small enough to move by hand, for shopfronts, foyers, school gates and event entries.
Safety signs: speed, stop, detour and warning messages for work sites, car parks and events.
Messages are changed from a phone, tablet or laptop, and we walk you through it. If the site needs council approval, we help with that too. Hire signs suit one-off events as well: we supplied the LED countdown sign for a Guinness World Record singing marathon.
LED school signs carry a year of messages: enrolment dates, open days, P&C events, student-free days, a well done to the netball team. A sign at the front gate lets the office change it from a phone instead of sending someone out with a box of plastic letters.
Our school projects include a full colour LED sign at Ballajura Community College in Perth and a full colour LED pylon sign at St James’ Anglican School. Signs for Brisbane schools are built the same way and installed by the same team.
Red single colour text covers dates and times. Full colour shows the school crest and photos from the athletics carnival. For a one-off event, a portable hire sign at the school gate does the job. Our page on LED signs for schools goes further.
Pylons and shopfronts
Custom LED signs and illuminated pylons in Brisbane
An illuminated pylon sign with an LED screen reads as well at night as it does at midday. It stands at the roadside or the car park entry, with a screen on one face or two, and it can show a single line of red text or full colour video, depending on the sign you choose.
Closer to the door, custom LED signage fixes to the shopfront or the fascia. Inside the window, a small LED open sign can show OPEN, your hours and what is new this week.
To pick a size, try our pixel pitch planner. It shows a shop ad or a photo on a 2 x 1, 3 x 2 or 5 x 4 m sign at pitches from P2.5 to P16. A rough rule: the pitch in millimetres is about the distance in metres from which the picture looks smooth, so a P10 sign looks smooth from about 10 m away.
Brisbane summers bring hard sun, heat and afternoon storms with heavy rain. For outdoor signs, our FA2 range is built for that kind of weather:
IP68 sealing, which sits near the top of the scale for keeping out dust and heavy rain.
Up to 10,000 nits of brightness, for direct Queensland sun.
Fanless, with no air conditioner needed until 55 degrees.
Pixel pitches from P3.9 to P10, to suit how far away people read the sign.
Digital signage for Brisbane shops, schools and roadsides
Full colour LED screens show photos, video and live messages, inside or out. We build digital signs for businesses, schools and councils across Queensland. Some of the jobs they do:
Shop windows and counters: new stock and opening hours
Reception areas, school halls and libraries: notices and events
Cafes and restaurants: menus that change through the day
Content goes up from your phone, your computer or an online editor, depending on the sign, and you can set it to change by time of day. Step by step guides for each app are on Brochures and guides, and our digital signage page has more.
Brisbane City Council and other Queensland councils control signs through their local laws, so many fixed and digital signs need a permit. Even a hire sign can need approval on some sites. Send us the address and what the sign will show, and we will work through the application with you. That help costs nothing extra, the same as for our WA customers.
Getting your sign from Welshpool to Brisbane
What we need from you
The street address, a few site photos with rough sizes, and the wording you have in mind.
What we do
First comes a design and a free quote. Once you approve the drawing, the sign is built and tested in Welshpool. Then our own team comes to Brisbane, the Gold Coast or wherever your site is in QLD to fit the sign and train whoever will run it.
Scoreboards for Brisbane schools
For school courts and club grounds, we also build portable and built-in LED scoreboards, and our own crew installs them in Brisbane. The Brisbane scoreboards page has more.
Book a hire sign or get a quote
For a hire, send us the dates and the address. For a sign to keep, send a photo of the spot. Either way, the quote is free.
